Trade Group: Gas Tax To Fuel 34,000 Jobs

The looming 23-cents-a-gallon state gas tax hike to rescue an insolvent state Transportation Trust Fund is expected to put thousands of laid-off construction workers back on the job on halted road and bridge projects, and the recent announcement of the plan to save the fund was cheered by labor leaders.
