Two men from Hereford died Tuesday morning following a head-on collision between two tractor-trailer just north of Vega. At 7:43 a.m., a tractor-trailer driven by David Garza, 70, of Hereford was traveling north on U.S. Highway 385 roughly four miles north of Vega when a tractor-trailer driven by Edward Carrillo, 37, of Hereford crossed over into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into Garza’s truck. Both Garza and Carrillo were pronounced dead on the scene by Oldham County Justice of the Peace Kristi Homefeld. read more
