In case you hadn't heard, George Clooney loves the past. Loves it. "The Monuments Men," "Good Night, and Good Luck," that remake of "Fail-Safe," even "Leatherheads" — all of these are movies about the masculinities of America's past, back when men were real men, women were real women and everyone dressed up for absolutely everything that didn't involve bathing in a tub. So it is not entirely surprising to see him in the retro "Tomorrowland," Disney's love note to, well, a couple of things: Walt's own gee-whiz, we-can-do-it utopianism, which manifested more directly in Epcot, which was supposed to be a planned community rather than the titular theme park; and the cool optimism of the raygun-gothic futures of the 1950s and '60s, the importance of blending dreaming with science.Read more on NewsOK.com
