An ex-employee of the Chicago-based National Association of Realtors has filed a federal lawsuit against the trade association alleging a hostile work environment that included sexual harassment and discrimination, as well as retaliation after she was fired.
Roshani Sheth, a former product manager for Realtors Information Network, a subsidiary of NAR, worked at company headquarters from 2014 to 2019 and was the only woman and person of color on her team, according to the amended lawsuit filed in the U.
Loyola University men’s basketball coach Drew Valentine and his wife, Taylor, in August paid $2.45 million for a newly built house in Lakeview, and the couple at the same time sold their five-bedroom, 3,420-square-foot house in Glenview for $1.165 million.
Valentine, 33, was an assistant men’s basketball coach at Loyola from 2017 until 2021, when he was promoted to be head coach upon the departure of longtime head coach Porter Moser.
In Glenview, the Valentines paid $995,000 in 2021 to buy their house, which at that time was newly built.
The Northbrook Village Board agreed by consent on Sept. 10 to recommend that a Skokie company receive property tax breaks for 12 years to expand and relocate in Northbrook.
Trustees supported sending Sound, Production and Lighting’s request for a Class 6B tax break to Cook County, which could cut the company’s property assessment by 60% for 10 years, 40% during the 11th year and 20% in the final year.
“There is a consensus to move it forward and along, and hopefully welcome a new business to Northbrook,” Village President Kathryn Ciesla said.
It’s back to the drawing board for Clarendon Hills officials as they seek answers for village-owned property along Walker Avenue, where they hope to add a restaurant or residential units.

Flutter Entertainment has expanded its presence in South America with a 56% share in NSX Group. The Brazilian company, which promotes the Betnacional brand, has agreed to let Flutter enter the market for $350m.
NSX is Brazil’s fourth-largest gambling operator, with an expected revenue of approximately $256m and Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of roughly $34m in 2024.

The cash consideration for the international gambling company is $350m, which will see the creation of the Flutter Brazil brand and a 56% stake in NSX.
