A new New York Times/Siena poll in Arizona finds 58% of like voters said they planned to support an amendment to the state’s Constitution codifying “the fundamental right to an abortion.”
Nate Cohn: “It’s been nearly two weeks since the first presidential debate, and the polls have reached their verdict on the fallout: The race remains very close.”
“On average, Kamala Harris is faring about one point better across 34 polls that measured the race before and after the debate. It leaves the contest deadlocked, with neither candidate enjoying a meaningful advantage in the key states.”

Arizona: Trump 50%, Harris 45%
Georgia: Trump 49%, Harris 45%
North Carolina: Trump 49%, Harris 47%

Chappell Roan, the 26-year-old “Good Luck, Babe!” singer from Missouri, told the Guardian in an interview published Friday that she’s not planning to endorse anyone ahead of the November election, saying that there are “problems on both sides.”
The comment has divided social media users—some of whom have applauded her stance, others who have criticized her for being “cowardly” and accused her of false equivalence and failing to stand up for the LGBT community given the explicitly anti-queer agenda of Harris’ Republican opponent former President Donald Trump.
