Two Pittsburgh-area manufacturers showed strong gains Thursday on Wall Street after reporting earnings earlier in the day. TMS International Corp. (NYSE: TMS) shares jumped 5.16 percent and RTI International Metals (NYSE: RTI) was up 4.4 percent on a day that saw many other local companies ending the day down slightly. TMS, the parent company of Tube City International, saw an increase in net income and higher revenues in the first quarter.
