Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said a preliminary investigation indicates the driver who caused the initial accident tried to evade the scene, causing two other cars to crash. While trying to leave the area, the first driver caused another vehicle to swerve across the southbound lane, which caused a fifth car to roll over, Shawinsky said.
