No one knows if Houston will have a Thanksgiving Day Holiday Parade this year after its longtime organizer announced Wednesday it was backing out of producing the celebration. The Houston Festival Foundation, which had organized the parade since 1995, attributed the decision to rising costs associated with the event that annually draws more than 400,000 people downtown and an estimated two million to a live television broadcast.
