A teen was shot twice in the leg Thursday about 6:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of East Red Robin Drive after trying to stop a fight between two teenage girls, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. Sgt. Bobby Lyle said the young man that was shot is 17-years-old and in stable condition at UF Health Jacksonville. A man in his early 20s is suspected of shooting the 17-year-old, and police detained another man at the Sheriff’s Office that could have information about the incident.
