Teen Remorseful Over Stamford Killing

Hall, who was 15 when the incident occurred, was charged as an adult with murder and faced up to 60 years in prison if convicted at trial. In jail since his arrest days after the murder, Hall rejected a plea deal last summer for a 25-year prison sentence followed by 15 years of special parole. The teen killed Muralles after they bumped into each other outside the Bedford Street fast-food restaurant on March 11, 2015. The victim bumped into Hall and co-defendant James McLamb, 24, that night and accidentally spilled coffee on the teen, according to police. Muralles fell to the ground and the pair continued the attack with the victim stabbed several times in the torso and once in the heart, police said. A third suspect, who was 17 at the time of the incident, was charged with hindering prosecution after police reviewed video footage showing him carrying evidence from the crime scene.
