The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents: Tuesday • 4:37 p.m., theft from vehicle in the 300 block of Bryan Place • 4:47 p.m., personal-injury accident at Dual Highway and Manor Drive • 6:08 p.m., property-damage accident|

 

Coffman Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center planning expansion

The Washington County Board of Commissioners unanimously agreed Tuesday to convey — for $1 — a half-acre of land to Coffman Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center that will help with plans for a new wing for rehabilitative patients.

SMITHSBURG — A Frederick County, Md., developer wants nearly 70 acres of his undeveloped property annexed into the corporate limits of Smithsburg, in order to build new homes and businesses.
