Woman killed in Highway 126 crash identified

The woman killed Saturday when her husband lost control of his pickup truck on an icy stretch of Highway 126 just west of McKenzie Bridge has been identified as 67-year-old Marilyn Louise Gotter of Springfield. State police said today they are continuing to investigate the crash.

Two men injured when gun discharges

Two Lebanon residents were injured when a firearm they were discussing trading accidentally discharged, according to the Linn County sheriff’s office. Anthony Catullo, 31, and Brandon Butler, 23, were on the McDowell Creek 600 logging road about 10 miles from McDowell Creek Park when the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m.

 

Troopers investigate fatal accident

One person has died in a single-vehicle accident on the McKenzie Highway near McKenzie Bridge. Traffic is reduced to one lane in the area and drivers are advised to use caution. Oregon State Police troopers are investigating the accident and say additional information will be released later.
