Dirt bike stolen months ago found in Pontiac garage

A 27-year old Pontiac man was arrested for allegedly stealing a dirt bike which was recovered from a garage on Osceola Drive, early afternoon Sunday.The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle was reported stolen from the 400 block of E. Columbia Street in March. The owner recently received information on where the dirt bike could be found and contacted the sheriff's office.

 

Funky Monkey Toys to open shop at Great Lakes Crossing

Oakland University recently hosted engineers and computer scientists from the around the world to take part in the 26th annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition. The four-day event, held annually at the university, challenges teams to build and operate autonomous robotic vehicles on outdoor courses.

 

Eric Whitney named assistant superintendent for Talent Management and Development at West Bloomfield Schools

Eric Whitney was named assistant superintendent for Talent Management and Development, an HR position, at West Bloomfield School District, effective July 1. He replaces Art Ebert, who will be joining Sturgis Public Schools as superintendent. Whitney will work with Deanna Barash, assistant superintendent for Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction, to lead the district's Teaching and Learning Network for instructing students pre-kindergarten to grade 12, along with the Transition Center and Oakland Early College.
