Oakland County Board of Commissioners get preview of three-year budget Thursday

Oakland County's three-year budget will be presented to the board of commissioners on Thursday morning in Pontiac. The 2019-2021 recommended budget totals $2.7 billion and includes general fund revenue of $465 million for Fiscal Year 2019, $466 million for Fiscal Year 2020 and $475 million for Fiscal Year 2021.

 

Police: Man drove off after toddler daughter fell from his SUV and was injured in Hazel Park

A Sterling Heights man was in Hazel Park court Tuesday after police say he injured his toddler daughter and her mother when he backed his SUV out of the mother's driveway while the door was open and the child fell out in her car seat and was briefly dragged.The suspect, Michael P. Kaler, 29, is free on $100,000 bond in the July 7 incident, which police said happened at the mother's house on West Maxlow.

Motorcyclist suffers head injury in Brandon Township traffic crash with elderly driver

A 38-year-old Oxford Township man driving a motorcycle sustained a head injury after an elderly man hit him with his car early Monday morning in Brandon Township.Oakland County Sheriff's deputies were called to M-15 near Wolfe Road at around 1 a.m. where a Buick Enclave driven by a 79-year-old man from Fairgrove reportedly made a left turn from a commercial driveway and collided with the motorcycle.
