Entrance construction under way at new school

Traffic on San Elijo Road will be reduced, as Double Peak School enters the final phases of construction this summer. The K-8 campus will open Aug. 29, and will serve students from the San Elijo Hills area. Traffic improvements needed to add turning lanes into the school will close down one lane in each direction for a portion of San Elijo Road for several months, officials said.
