Nine students at Mobile County Training School were arrested by Mobile Police on Thursday after a fight in the school's courtyard during a power outage, according to Nancy Pierce, spokesperson for the Mobile County school system.

In the pre-dawn darkness Thursday a Prichard man was booked into jail and charged with attempted murder. Police said he fired 23 shots into a car stopped at a traffic sign.
