Man who said he killed his mother for Jesus told police he used gun 'to dispatch' her, detective says

When he was arrested for shooting his mother to death, Derek Boyce was sitting on the couch with a small pistol in his pocket, according to police. But when asked if that was the murder weapon, he said no, the “gun used to dispatch” Maureen Lomax Day was in a car outside, they said.
