Claudia Slaughter Campbells' work at Fort Mims honored by Alabama Historical Commission

For her "steadfast and unrelenting leadership with the preservation and promotion of Fort Mims," and noting that she has "dedicated most of her life to restoring the historic site to a condition reflecting the importance of the historic actions that took place in 1813," the Alabama Historical Commission honored Claudia Slaughter Campbell with its 2014 Distinguished Service Award at its annual banquet held in Muscle Shoals in April.
