More Bergner's stores closing; Eastland outlet not on list

BLOOMINGTON — Retailer Bon-Ton announced Wednesday that it plans to close more than 40 nationwide locations — including six Carson’s stores and one Bergner’s in Illinois.

 

Road closures: Market, West Oakland

Market Street, Bloomington — Market Street, between Main and Center streets, is closed for an emergency sewer repair on Market Street. Pedestrian traffic is closed on the south side of the street for an emergency sidewalk repair.

 

Life Flight helicopter based at St. Joe, St. James

BLOOMINGTON — OSF Life Flight will base a helicopter at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington and OSF HealthCare Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac to better serve residents of OSF HealthCare's eastern region.

LINCOLN — A Logan County Paramedic Association ambulance taking a patient to a Springfield hospital was struck by a large rock apparently thrown off an Interstate 55 overpass in Springfield, officials said Monday.
