Quincy voters double length of mayor's term

In a decisive victory, the ballot question asking voters to double the length of the mayoral term was supported by 68 percent of voters. In Tuesday's races, incumbent Ward 4 Councilor Brian Palmucci rolled past challenger Michael Healy, taking 80 percent of the votes. In the citywide school committee race, newcomer Noel DiBona won a seat by topping the ticket, winning 30 percent of the vote. Incumbents Anne Mahoney and Barbara Isola took the other two seats, while incumbent Emily Lebo lost her seat.
