It wasn’t happening on a Hollywood set; it was happening in the Jordan’s Furniture warehouse in Avon.

As I sat through the introduction of the 2014 Buicks I knew this wasn’t the old Buick company, nor were the vehicles or the Buick representatives. Ruth O’Connell of Hull “adopted” a faded 1928 Paragon Carousel horse, which has been restored and named “Beloved Jack” in honor of the late President John F. Kennedy, who became a father figure to her after her own father died when she was 5.

Elderly man displaced by fire in Quincy

An elderly man was displaced from his Fayette Street home Sunday morning when a fire started in the basement and traveled up to the first floor, causing about $50,000 in damage.
