Talking Cars: Funky exhaust gas recirculation codes

I own a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the 3.8-liter V-6 with 110,000 miles. The problem is the check-engine light comes on and sets a code P1404 for the EGR valve. I have replaced all the components in the EGR system including the EGR valve. I have also cleaned the EGR passageway. The light still comes on. Can you please help?
