Russellville police and fire crews responded to a fire call on Lauderdale Street Thursday night and ended up taking 50-year-old Jeffery Dewayne Baker into custody. Police Chief Chris Hargett said Baker admitted to getting into an altercation with his neighbors in that house. He said Baker then tore the foam out of some cushions and used those to try to set fire to the house in two spots.
