Warren man ejected from truck in M-53 crash

A 39-year-old Warren man whose 2001 Ford pickup truck crashed and rolled over on a freeway ramp in Shelby Township on Wednesday is suspected of being intoxicated at the time, police reported.Shelby Township police and firefighters were called to a report of a serious injury accident on southbound M-53, south of 26 Mile Road about 1:50 p.

Two young men shot in Center Line after birthday party turns rowdy

Police are investigating an early-morning double shooting in Center Line that followed a rowdy birthday party being celebrated in a neighboring city.The two shooting victims -- a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male -- are recovering at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening, police said.

A man suspected of phoning in threats against several current or former employees of a New Baltimore business was taken into custody early this morning, according to police.The suspect, whose name has not been released, is being held in the Macomb County Jail pending an arraignment scheduled for Thursday, New Baltimore Police Chief Fred Reibel II said in a news release.
