A 20-year-old Shelby Township man who threatened a mass shooting at Lakeside mall was sentenced to one year in jail and given youth status that will allow his conviction to be erased from the public record.Tyler Tindell apologized Thursday before he was ordered to serve two years probation, with the first year in the county jail, by Judge Jennifer Faunce of Macomb County Circuit Court.

Temperatures expected to soar this weekend

According to the US National Weather Service, a heat wave around this time of the year is normal. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s on Friday and Sunday, with the real heat on Saturday."The heat index will eclipse 100 degrees on Saturday with a low potential for urban corridors potential to touch 105 degrees," said the National Weather Service in a post on Facebook.

 

Mount Clemens DQ celebrates start of summer solstice
