For some parents, technology is both a blessing and a curse. Technology offers the potential for entertainment, learning, and creativity. It offers a window to the world, and a chance to explore. However, too many children spend most of their summer days on the couch immersed in games or Youtube, and some are even engaging in adult content or public social media platforms.

Macomb County Sheriff's Office adds drones

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office has added a new investigative staff to its team.The Office recently launched a new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Unit. These vehicles, more commonly known as drones, are an additional resource that can aid current investigative techniques and personnel.The UAV unit can be activated when searching for a missing person, performing a rescue, encountering a barricaded gunman or hostage situation, and conducting traffic crash and crime scene investigations.
