Woman struck by car on Providence street

PROVIDENCE -- A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car Friday morning in Providence.City police said the pedestrian, 66, was crossing Hartford Avenue at Bodell Avenue when the car, driven by a 43-year-old Providence man, struck her at about 6:30 a.m. The driver had the green light when the pedestrian was crossing, police said.The pedestrian was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.
