Providence man to serve 6 years for child molestation

PROVIDENCE — A 30-year-old Providence man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, six to serve, after pleading guilty to one count of second-degree child molestation.Superior Court Justice Netti C. Vogel also ordered William Hudgins to undergo sex-offender counseling and to register as a sex offender.Prosecutors say that Hudgins molested an 8-year-old girl who was known to him some time in 2016.Hudgins has been held at the ACI since Dec. 2, 2017.
