1 actor out, 3 finalists to compete for the coveted ‘Dancing With the Stars’ crown

Ralph Macchio has done his last dance, leaving football star Hines Ward and actresses Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane to compete for the “Dancing With the Stars” title.
The 49-year-old actor was eliminated Tuesday from the hit ABC show.
Macchio came into the episode in last place. He and professional partner Karina Smirnoff earned 48 points for their two semifinal dances.

Watching “Dancing With the Stars’ ” results show Tuesday was a bit like watching “The Karate Kid” all over again. Despite a badly injured leg, Daniel LaRusso… er, Ralph Macchio … took his crane stance once again and knocked competitor Romeo out of the running for the coveted mirror ball trophy, leaving a look of complete shock on judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s face. But this time, the (temporary) victory wasn’t based on the performance. It was all about the fan base.
