When a news photographer witnesses a tragedy in the making, is his obligation to intervene or to document it? That question has cropped up anew following the New York Post's publication, on its front page, of a photo taken moments after a man was pushed onto subway tracks, and moments before he was hit and killed by an oncoming train.

A Riverside woman pushing her 2-year-old in a stroller is killed by a train near her home Saturday. The stroller was twice lodged on the tracks, but the woman pushed her daughter out of the way. A Riverside woman died Saturday evening as she struggled to push a baby stroller over a gated railroad crossing and was struck by a passing train.

Senh: This is very sad. It's just bad judgement and unnecessary.

 

Possible bomb found after train hits woman

A police bomb squad was investigating the discovery of a suspicious device found near the body of a woman who was struck and killed by a freight train near a northwest Seattle park.
