In the aftermath of the presidential election, Republicans have been inundated with advice to moderate, equivocate, and even abandon their core principles as a necessary prerequisite for winning future elections.

The former president, now a key supporter who will place President Obama's name in nomination at the Democratic National Convention, could also help his own wife into the White House in 2016.

Vice President Joe Biden left open the possibility on Sunday that he might run for the White House in 2016. Biden told CNN that his focus is on helping President Barack Obama get re-elected in 2012 but when pressed on the possibility of his own future run, he replied, "I'm not closing anything."
