Moving the mountain of U.S. military gear out of Afghanistan after more than a decade of war will cost billions of dollars and prove far more difficult than last year's withdrawal from Iraq, the Pentagon's No. 2 official said Tuesday.

The whistle-blower website WikiLeaks published classified military documents from the war in Iraq in a release Friday that was anticipated to include 400,000 such documents.

The WikiLeaks website is poised to release what the Pentagon fears is the largest cache of secret U.S. documents in history — hundreds of thousands of classified intelligence reports since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
