Republicans win the election among last week’s TV viewers

Fox News Channel’s 10 to 11-ish p.m. coverage of Clint Eastwood’s debate with a chair — followed by Mitt Romney’s acceptance speech — was the country’s second-most-watched TV program last week. Romney, Eastwood & Chair finished the week trailing only Howard Stern & “America’s Got Talent” on NBC; the telecasts averaged 9.1 million viewers and 9.9 million viewers, respectively.

 

'America's Got Talent' Tops 'So You Think You Can Dance'

By John Consoli, The Wrap Reality shows were king last night over repeat scripted fare on the broadcast networks. Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" was in a virtual tie last night with NBC's "America's Got Talent" for the highest rated program of the night among adults 18-49 at a 2.8 each, but "Talent" clearly drew the most overall viewers, averaging 10 million compared to "Dance's" 7.3 million. "Dance" also won the night among adults 18-34 and teens.

 

'Talent' tops Tuesday ratings

CBS nabs solid numbers with 'NCIS,' 'Mentalist' -- The season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” made a strong impression in Tuesday primetime, propelling NBC to a victory on the night among adults 18-49, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.
