Conan's first night whips rivals in viewership

TBS says Conan O'Brien was welcomed back to television by more than 4.1 million viewers. The former host of "The Tonight Show," who left NBC eight months ago, returned to late night Monday with a new talk show, "Conan," which premiered on basic-cable network TBS.

Senh: All this means is that he'll probably settle back into his usual ratings before he hosted "The Tonight Show," which was about 2.3 million viewers. 4.1 million viewers for a debut is solid, but not spectacular.

TVByTheNumbers.com's Misleading & Biased Leno/Conan Ratings Coverage

As a fan of both Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien, I’ve been following news about “The Tonight Show” saga. For the record, I’m with Team Coco, but I’m not going to let that cloud my analysis. Lately, I’ve stumbled upon a series of misleading and biased articles by TVByTheNumbers.com regarding “The Tonight Show” ratings.

Conan O’Brien Opens Up About NBC Departure

In his first interview since walking away from NBC’s “Tonight Show,” Conan O’Brien tells “60 Minutes” Sunday night that he believes he was not given a fair chance to prove he could succeed

Senh: Have to agree with Conan here. Although I agree with him that he didn't get enough time to establish himself with "The Tonight Show", the 11:30pm slot is a bit older, so I don't think he would beat David Letterman for next several years.

For Returning to The Tonight Show, Jay Leno is Selfish, Dishonest, and a Little Sneaky

For Returning to The Tonight Show, Jay Leno is Selfish, Dishonest, and a Little Sneaky

First, I'm a fan of Jay Leno. I watched his show all the time. He seemed like a nice guy, soft around the edges. Leno's been saying all along that he accepted the offer to return as host of The Tonight Show to save his staff from being unemployed; and he only did it after Conan had decided to leave. The Tonight Show was/is his dream job. It was Conan's too.

Leno to Oprah: 'This was a huge mess'

If you're looking for someone to blame for NBC's late-night horror show, take aim at the network, Jay Leno told Oprah Winfrey on Thursday in an exclusive interview.
