News Corp. Chief Digital Officer Jon Miller will step down from his position as the company prepares to split its media and entertainment business from its publishing assets.

News Corp. said Thursday that chief digital officer Jonathan Miller would leave his job in September. Miller will stay on as an outside advisor through fall 2013. He took the role in 2009, focusing on both distribution and international investments, while also serving as the News Corp. representative on the board of Hulu.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has resigned as a director of a number of News Corp. boards overseeing his Britain newspapers, a spokeswoman confirmed Saturday. He also quit from some of the media company's subsidiary boards in the United States.

 

Dow Jones President Resigns

The president of Dow Jones, Todd Larsen, resigned Tuesday after more than two years on the job and 13 years at the company. No reason was given for his departure. Dow Jones is the unit News Corp. that publishes The Wall Street Journal.

Dow Jones CEO Steps Down Amid Hacking Fallout

Les Hinton, chairman of News International in the years the alleged hacking occurred, stepped down as head of the Dow Jones division yesterday. That followed the exit of News International CEO Rebekah Brooks. She was editor of the News of the World, the newspaper implicated in the scandal, from 2000 to 2003.
