Hollywood planned a 2nd straight weekend friendly for family filmgoers who have pent-up demand. With 20% of K-through-12 out of school today, Pixar/Disney's 10th pic and first 3-D movie, Up, was able to get a jump on the domestic box office with busy matinees from 1,534 3-D theaters -- a record -- and a total of 3,766 theatres total.

Studio's May 29 computer-animated film is only its second feature not to receive a G rating (the other is ''The Incredibles'').

A new extended clip from Disney •Pixar's Up has debuted online and can be watched using the player below! Directed by Pete Docter and Bob Peterson, the animated-adventure opens in theaters on May 29. It is voiced by Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, John Ratzenberger, Delroy Lindo and Jordan Nagai.
