History Renews 'Vikings' for Second Season

History Channel has renewed Vikings for a second season. The cable network has ordered 10 more episodes for its first scripted drama created by Michael Hirst, it was announced Friday by Dirk Hoogstra, executive vp development and programming for History. Production on season two will begin in the summer with a 2014 premiere.

 

TBS renews ‘Conan’ through 2014

Conan O’Brien’s self-titled late-night talk show has officially been renewed through April 2014, TBS announced Wednesday morning. “Conan” debuted on the cable network in November 2010. And for anyone who has blocked it out, the series kicked off about 10 months after the NBC disaster that resulted in O’Brien walking away from “The Tonight Show” and Jay Leno being instilled back in the host spot.
