Jay Leno returns to "The Tonight Show" on Monday, and so does his desk -- a sign that struggling network NBC wants its flagship late-night TV program to return to normal after Conan O'Brien failed as its host.

Adam Lambert will indeed be appearing on “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday — along with the former governor of Alaska, conservative Sarah Palin. But don't expect too many sparks.

Although NBC shot down rumors Thursday that it would be canceling the low-rated “The Jay Leno Show,” unconfirmed reports indicate a major lineup shuffle may be in the works.
