Mom who glued toddler to wall over ‘potty training issue’ has sentencing hearing today

A mother who admitted that she glued her toddler’s hands to a wall faces a sentencing hearing today in a Dallas courtroom. Elizabeth Escalona, 23, pleaded guilty to injury to a child in July. She faces up to life in prison for her crimes but is also eligible for deferred adjudication probation.

A Dallas toddler has died after police say he was dropped in a pot of boiling water. Dallas police told The Dallas Morning News in a story Tuesday that 16-month-old Jabraylon Bables appeared to have been dipped in boiling water. The toddler died Saturday from injuries and infections, 36 days after police say he was deliberately burned.

A Dallas woman accused of throwing her two children from a freeway overpass and then jumping off the 20-foot-high span has been found not guilty by reason of insanity. A judge in Dallas ruled Thursday in the trial of Khandi Busby, who was charged with attempted murder and injury to a child. The judge then ordered her to spend roughly 30 days in a state mental institution, MyFoxDFW.com reports.

 

Flight attendant takes baby after slap from mother

Police say a Southwest Airlines flight attendant took a baby from her parents on a flight from Dallas to Albuquerque after the mother slapped the crying child.
