A Montana man was arrested after he tried to bring four loaded guns through a security checkpoint at a Sacramento, Calif., airport and is being held without bail, the sheriff's office said on Saturday.

Some travelers sleepily making their way through airport security in Atlanta Sunday morning got a startling wake up. A gun detected in a carry-on at a checkpoint at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was accidentally fired by an investigating officer around 9 a.m.

The Los Angeles city attorney's office will decide whether to bring charges against a man who packed a loaded gun in his checked luggage en route from Los Angeles to Portland on Sunday, officials said.
