The star-studded romance "Valentine's Day" wooed audiences with a $52.4 million opening weekend, easily grabbing the No. 1 spot over the holiday that shares its name, according to studio estimates Sunday....

Director Garry Marshall and his pack of A-list stars are on track to win the President’s Day weekend with the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day. Friday’s opening for the film starring Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper and many, many others is estimated at approximately $15 million, a number that is likely to reach over $50 million for the 4-day holiday frame.

Summit Entertainment's Nicolas Cage starrer "Knowing" easily topped the weekend box office chart in debuting to an estimated $24.8 million, while "I Love You, Man" and "Duplicity" came in on the lower end of expectations.
