Analyses of hundreds of documented data breaches found that hackers affiliated with the Chinese government were by far the most energetic and successful cyberspies in the world last year, according to a report to be issued Tuesday by government and industry investigators.

Rupert Murdoch tweets that the Wall Street Journal newspaper is still being attacked by Chinese hackers.

White House sources partly confirmed an alarming report that U.S. government computers -- reportedly including systems used by the military for nuclear commands -- were breached by Chinese hackers. “This was a spear phishing attack against an unclassified network,” a White House official told FoxNews.com. “These types of attacks are not infrequent and we have mitigation measures in place.”

The newspaper attributed the information to unnamed people involved in the investigation.
Google didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

Officials at the National Security Agency have been working with Google to investigate the cyber attacks that Google believes originated in China.
