I'm surprised they let this through. I hope this means people can finally download competing software with Apple - like FireFox, Opera Mobile, and ... drum roll ... Flash.

Jobs is not denying that there's a reception problem, but he says that all smartphones have that problem. I don't think this is the response that people are looking for. Meanwhile, the Droid X is sold out.

iOS 4.0.1 Available Now! Improves the iPhone's Bar Signal

The iOS 4.0.1 update that "improves" the way the iPhone displays signal strength is out now. According to the release note, that's about all it does.

Senh: Hopefully, that's not what Steve Jobs is announcing tomorrow at the conference.
