Tammy Slaton's Surpasses Goal Weight In "unbelievable" Transformation

Toni Vaz, an actor and activist who created the NAACP Image Awards, died on Oct. 4 in Woodland Hills, Calif. She was 101. Vaz’s parents immigrated to the U. S. from Barbados and she was one of four siblings raised in New York City in the 1950s. Her mother did not allow her to watch movies.

Peter E. Strauss, the film executive behind projects such as “The Jacket” and “Air,” died Oct. 6 at his home in Beverly Hills. He was 83.  Strauss held a number of roles over the course of his five-decade career, including most recently, executive vice president of Mandalay Pictures and previously president of Lions Gate Entertainment.

In a lengthy “New Rules” segment on Friday on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” the talkshow host laid into Chappell Roan, addressing an open letter to the singer and her political statements. “New rule to mark the Oct. 7 anniversary: We must launch a campaign to educate young Americans about the Middle East,” he began.

European powerhouse Studiocanal has dropped a first clip and poster of its new doc “Becoming Hitchcock – The Legacy of Blackmail” by L. A.-based filmmaker Laurent Buzereau (“Faye”, “Five Came Back,” “Music by John Williams”).  The doc feature will have its world premiere at the Lumière classic film festival in France’s Lyon on Oct.

Zoe Saldaña has worked with several of Hollywood’s most celebrated directors over the years, including James Cameron and J. J.
