Takai Gets Democratic Nomination For Us House

HONOLULU (AP) — State Rep. Mark Takai is the Democratic nominee for Hawaii's 1st Congressional District. Takai had 43.7 percent of the vote in the first results released after polls closed Saturday. Senate President Donna Mercado Kim had the second most votes with 26.4 percent. Takai emerged from a crowded field of seven candidates.
