The best chance for precipitation this week in the Colorado Springs area is expected later Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. The weather service says there is a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colorado Springs. A high temperature of 70 degrees is forecast. On Wednesday, partly sunny skies with a 30 percent chance of showers and a high of 60 are in the forecast before a stretch of sunny days and warmer temps hit the Pikes Peak region.
