Stocks Inch Higher In Early Trading On Wall Street

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are notching small gains in early trading after the U.S. government reported that the number of people applying for unemployment benefits rose to the highest level since late November. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 47 points to 14,595 shortly after the opening bell Thursday. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was up four points at 1,557.Read more on NewsOK.com
