I laughed when I read this in an article about planning for retirement:“Let’s say you are a single 60-year-old earning $140,000 a year. You have $1.5 million in your 401(k) …If my wife and I had $1.5 million in a 401(k), I wouldn’t have gotten knots in my stomach figuring out whether I could retire from the daily workings of this newspaper at age 63, which I did more than two years ago.
