Sterling Heights Man Gets Three Years For Medicare Fraud Scheme

A Sterling Heights man was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in a scheme to defraud Medicare of nearly $1.6 million, according to federal officials.Juan Yrorita, 63, received the sentence Thursday from Judge Gershwin Drain of U.S. District Court in Detroit after he pleaded guilty in November to one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud in the midst of a trial last November, federal officials said.
