In 2014, the beloved comedian died by suicide after a private battle with Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), which had been misdiagnosed as Parkinson's Disease - his autopsy showed the presence of Lewy bodies, the hallmark indicator of LBD.

Denis Villeneuve is reportedly returning to the desert landscapes of Arrakis with Dune 3. Warner Bros. recently announced a release date for Villeneuve's next venture, scheduled for December 18, 2026. This comes on the heels of the major box office triumph of Dune: Part Two.

Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld recently treated fans to a unique piece of art in which he enhanced Ryan Reynolds recent People Magazine cover photo with a Deadpool twist. Liefeld shared a video on his Instagram account of himself drawing the Merc with a Mouths mask over half of Reynolds face, seamlessly bringing the actor and the comic book iteration of Deadpool together.

Six Flags, the amusement park company with over 27 venues across three countries, has unveiled its plans for its annual Halloween event, Fright Fest. The 2024 edition will consist of experiences based on horror franchises like Saw, Stranger Things, Army of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), and The Conjuring, among others.

The future of Chris Pine in the Star Trek universe is currently uncertain, but the actor is curious about playing an older version of Captain Kirk in the future. Pine played Kirk in all three of J. J. Abbrams' Star Trek movies between 2009 and 2016, and is considered by many to be as good as William Shatner (who played the same character in Star Trek: The Original Series).

With Deadpool & Wolverine joining the MCU, Marvel exec Kevin Feige has discussed how important it was to blend the styles of 20th Century Fox's X-Men films and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third film in the Deadpool franchise will be the first movie dedicated to an X-Men character in the MCU, following the tease at the end of The Marvels.
